The Opportunity

Flatline Demolition is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Demolition Operator with experience operating 2T to 20T machinery. You’ll play a key role in delivering full and partial demolitions, strip-outs, and structural works across a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

This is a hands-on role offering full-time hours, competitive pay, and opportunities for long-term growth in a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators (2T–20T) and attachments such as hammers, grabs, pulverisers, and buckets.

• Carry out machine-based demolition work on structures, slabs, and detailed site preparation.

• Load out and sort demolition materials with a focus on recycling and safety.

• Read and follow demolition plans and supervisor instructions.

• Complete daily pre-starts and basic machine maintenance.

• Work collaboratively with other team members and spotters.

• Follow all WHS protocols and environmental control measures.

• AND supervision of crews, task allocation, toolbox talks, and site coordination.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience operating machinery in demolition.

• Valid Excavator Ticket (RIIMPO320 or equivalent).

• White Card (Construction Induction).

• Strong understanding of demolition procedures and machine operation.

• Proven ability to work safely and efficiently under site conditions.

• Fit, reliable, and able to take initiative on site.

Desirable Qualifications

• Asbestos Awareness or Class B/A Licence.

• Skid Steer, HR Licence, or other plant operating tickets.

• Confined space and working at heights certification.
