Registered Nurse, Palliative Care

This rewarding role provides specialist palliative care nursing to valued clients in the comfort of their own homes across northern Adelaide, supporting comfort, dignity and quality of life.

What we're looking for

You bring compassion, professionalism and a commitment to delivering Best Care, every person, every time. Along with current AHPRA registration, you will have:

• Minimum 12 months general nursing experience, with strong assessment skills.
• Previous palliative care experience.
• Experience in acute, community and/or aged care settings.
• Exposure to complex clinical tasks such as Syringe Drivers, catheters, drains, PICC management and wound care, both routine and complex (highly desirable).
• A strong client‑centred, collaborative approach to care.

• Open to feedback and continuous learning.

• Excellent time management, communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills.
• A current full Australian driver's licence.

The role

• Deliver specialist palliative and end-of-life nursing care to clients in their own homes, supporting comfort, dignity and quality of life.
• Manage a community-based caseload, completing palliative assessments, admissions, care planning and symptom management autonomously.
• Provide hands-on clinical care, including wound management, catheter care, pleural and ascitic drains, syringe drivers and end-of-life medications.
• Apply a broad range of general nursing skills in a complex community setting.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, including CAPS, SAPS, NAPS, GPs and SA Health, to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
• Support clients, families and next of kin through life-limiting illness with holistic, person-centred nursing care, respectful of individual values and preferences.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary palliative care team and in partnership with SAH Care Partners.
• Develop strong therapeutic relationships while delivering compassionate, respectful and professional care.
