Sushi Sushi, Australia's largest sushi brand, is going through an exciting period of growth and we are looking for a QLD Company Area Manager to join our Support office team!

Who are we looking for?

Reporting to the QLD State Manager, we are looking for an experienced multi-site retailer with an innate understanding of store operations, a skill for recognising opportunities to drive sales and an ability to energise a team.

The Company Retail Manager is responsible for ensuring their region of company-owned stores are the epitome of retail excellence – in their presentation, customer service, product quality and ultimately sales performance. It requires an attention to detail and a care factor to notice all the one-percenters that can either make or break a customer experience, and ensure issues are resolved on the spot.

Key responsibilities:

• Proven and innovative leader with the ability to motivate and drive exceptional performance

• Driven to create a supportive culture to motivate and develop the retail team

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of efficient operational procedures and systems

• Highly developed communication skills, and proven stakeholder, customer and staff relationship management skills, including the ability to coach and lead people and develop a strong team culture

• Experience in understanding full financial results including P&L reviews and KPI management.

• Outstanding time management and continuous improvement focus

• Experienced in the effective management of OH&S matters

• Having an understanding of tools to gauge customer service

• Identifying training needs within a team around product knowledge, customer service and operating processes

• Completing weekly WIPs with Store Managers

• Completing weekly WIPs with QLD State Manager on results and team performance, proactively coming up with plans to address issues and drive growth

• High standards for store and staff presentation

• Ability to look at a store with fresh eyes every tome and never leaving until everything is perfect

• Comfortable having conversations with team around presentation or performance as needed

• Strong analytical and commercial acumen to assess and analyse information and make sound and informed decisions

• Ability to perform under pressure with a strong focus on results

• Innovative, enthusiastic and willing to put forward new ideas for streamlining daily operations and increasing overall profitability

• Attention to detail and the proven ability to set strategic goals and problem resolution

• Service and quality focus with the passion to deliver outstanding customer experiences

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and ability to travel
