Customer Service Ambassador - Full Time

The Opportunity

We are seeking enthusiastic Customer Service Ambassadors to join us on a full-time basis and be the friendly face of SkyBus. This is a highly customer-focused role where you'll welcome travellers, provide information, assist with ticket sales, and help create positive first and last impressions of Melbourne for thousands of passengers every day. We're looking for someone with a real drive to sell and a genuine passion for great customer experiences. 

What You’ll Do

• Welcome and greet customers at SkyBus terminals and throughout Melbourne Airport. 
• Proactively promote SkyBus services using a confident, professional sales approach. 
• Assist customers in choosing the most suitable SkyBus service and contribute to team sales and customer engagement goals. 
• Assist with e-kiosk sales and provide accurate service information to travellers. 
• Represent SkyBus with immaculate personal presentation in line with uniform and grooming standards. 
• Help maintain a clean and professional customer environment, including keeping kiosks and work areas tidy. 
• Liaise with airport and contractor stakeholders to support seamless operations. 
• Champion excellent customer service, handling enquiries or difficult situations with empathy, professionalism, and respect. 
• Provide directions, answer questions, and assist travellers from around the world. 

What You’ll Bring

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, approachable style. 
• Confidence in engaging with the public and a passion for sales and customer service. 
• Strong personal presentation and the ability to represent a premium brand. 
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, solve problems quickly and de-escalate conflict where needed. 
• A self-motivated, energetic approach and adaptability in a fast-changing environment. 
• A good working knowledge of Melbourne, its attractions and transport options. 
• Hold Australian work rights (Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident)

Pay, Hours & Perks

• $29.20 base hourly rate + penalties apply
• Shift pattern details: rotating roster covering early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays across a 365-day operation 
• Location: Melbourne Airport and Southern Cross Station 
• This is an active, outdoor role rather than a desk job — you'll be out and about at our terminals and kiosks, meeting travellers face to face.
