As the Associate Director, you’ll join the Risk Frameworks & Policy team, helping bankers and risk teams confidently translate policy into consistent and effective frontline practice.

You’ll make an impact by:

Designing and delivering risk capability, accreditation and professional development solutions that strengthen the application of NAB's risk frameworks, policies and standards. Translating risk, credit and regulatory requirements into practical learning experiences that drive consistent frontline decision-making. Leading the design of end-to-end capability solutions, including curricula, assessments, accreditation pathways and capability uplift initiatives. Partnering with senior stakeholders, subject matter experts and business leaders to identify capability needs and deliver targeted development outcomes. Supporting enterprise capability programs that enhance risk culture, improve compliance outcomes and build organisational capability maturity. Applying governance and quality standards to ensure learning solutions remain accurate, effective and aligned to policy intent. Using feedback, insights and capability data to continuously improve learning effectiveness, accreditation outcomes and colleague experience.

You’ll bring to this role:

Proven experience in learning design, capability development, accreditation or training delivery within financial services or another highly regulated environment. Demonstrated ability to translate policy, risk or regulatory requirements into practical capability and learning solutions. Experience designing and implementing structured accreditation, assessment or professional development programs. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across risk, business and support functions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes at pace. A passion for continuous improvement and improving capability through practical, sustainable solutions.

Highly regarded:

Qualifications in Education, Learning Design, Instructional Design or a related discipline. Experience within Risk, Credit, Compliance or Regulatory Change functions. Familiarity with accreditation frameworks, capability diagnostics or continuing professional development (CPD) programs. Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms, including learning administration, reporting, learner analytics and capability tracking
