We're looking for a compassionate and customer-focused Case Manager - Relationships to join our Claims team. In this role, you'll be the dedicated point of contact for members navigating significant life events and insurance claims, ensuring they receive timely support, clear communication and a positive experience throughout their claims journey.
What you'll be doing
Manage a portfolio of insurance claims, including Death, Terminal Illness, Income Protection, Permanent Incapacity and Total & Permanent Disability claims, ensuring quality outcomes and adherence to service standards. Act as the primary point of contact for members and claimants, providing regular updates, guidance and support throughout the lifecycle of a claim. Build trusted relationships with members, trustees, insurers and internal stakeholders to facilitate efficient claims management and positive customer outcomes. Handle sensitive and complex conversations with empathy, professionalism and care, always keeping the member's circumstances front of mind. Proactively coordinate documentation, investigations and stakeholder engagement to minimise delays and progress claims efficiently. Maintain compliance with legislative, regulatory and operational requirements while ensuring a high standard of accuracy and quality. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support a collaborative team environment focused on service excellence.
We're interested in people who bring some of the following: Experience in case management, claims assessment, insurance, personal injury, workers compensation or a related customer-focused environment. Knowledge of group life insurance products and claims processes, including Death, TPD, Income Protection or Permanent Incapacity claims. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to navigate difficult conversations with empathy and confidence. Well-developed organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. RG146 compliance, superannuation knowledge or tertiary qualifications in business, insurance, law, finance or a related discipline would be highly regarded.
