About the Role

Join the Hospitality and Housekeeping team at Aegis Aged Care and make a meaningful difference every day. In this rewarding dual role, you'll help create a safe, clean, welcoming, and comfortable home for our residents and assisting with the preparation and service of nutritious meals. Your work will directly contribute to the health, wellbeing, and quality of life of our residents, all within a supportive and friendly team environment.

Your day will include:

· Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.

· Following infection control procedures and the safe use of cleaning chemicals.

· Assisting with the preparation and serving of resident meals in accordance with dietary and care plans.

· Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment.

· Ensuring correct food handling and food safety practices are always followed.

· Working collaboratively with the Cook/Chef Manager and the wider care team.

We're looking for someone who:

· Enjoys working with and supporting older people.

· Has excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness and food safety.

· Can work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.

· Is flexible and available to work a variety of weekday and weekend shifts.

You should possess the following:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare Industry).
• Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
• A knowledge of food safety.
• Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.

About the facility

Aegis Shoreline is in truly a unique location, adjacent to the beach and overlooking picturesque Cockburn Sound.

It provides a beautiful panorama of Garden, Carnac and Rottnest Islands with many bedrooms, lounges and sitting areas having ocean views where the sunset can be enjoyed, every day.

Located in the rapidly developing Shoreline Estate in the suburb of North Coogee, just south of Fremantle City, Aegis Shoreline is readily accessible from Cockburn Road and offers easy access to the Fremantle Region and all nearby services.
