AI Delivery Lead

About the Role

The AI Delivery Lead is responsible for the technical design, delivery, integration and operational reliability of AI solutions across UOW Global Enterprises. The role provides expert technical leadership, translates business needs into scalable AI solutions, and ensures AI systems operate effectively within approved governance, security and architectural standards.

Reporting to the Director AI Transformation and working closely with the UOWGE Data and Analytics Team, UOWGE Business Transformation Team, key business leads and UOW IMTS, this role is central to leading operational AI delivery, building organisational AI capability, and ensuring consistent technical implementation across global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert technical guidance for the design, development and integration of AI solutions and operating models.

• Lead end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives, from concept and prototyping through deployment and operationalisation.

• Translate business requirements into clear technical designs, delivery plans and implementation roadmaps.

• Oversee testing, monitoring and continuous improvement of AI systems and agents.

• Support the integration of AI models and capabilities into enterprise data warehouse and analytics platforms.

• Work with vendors and internal teams to ensure AI integrations align with approved standards and do not create duplication, shadow systems or data leakage risks.

• Provide hands-on coaching and mentoring to uplift internal AI and analytics capability.

Selection Criteria

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as computer science, data science, information systems, analytics, engineering, mathematics or a related field.

• Formal training or demonstrable capability in AI, machine learning, data analytics or digital transformation, particularly in enterprise settings.

• Proven experience leading the delivery of AI, advanced analytics or data-driven digital transformation initiatives in a complex organisation.

• Strong grounding in data governance, privacy and responsible AI.

• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in plain language.

• Certified proof of right to work in Australia and/or India.
