Financial Accountant

About the Role

We are looking for a deadline driven Financial Accountant who will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, timely month-end reporting, and maintenance of key accounting processes within a USA-owned heavy machinery sales and service organisation.

This role combines core financial accounting responsibilities with management accounting support, providing financial insights to operational leaders and contributing to business performance through inventory analysis, fixed asset management, and financial reporting.

 Key Responsibilities

• Month-end reporting and financial accounting

• General ledger and balance sheet reconciliations

• Fixed asset accounting and maintenance of the asset register

• Inventory reporting and reconciliations

• Budgeting and forecasting support

• Variance analysis and management reporting

• Multi-currency and intercompany accounting

• Supporting operational teams with financial insights and job costing analysis

About You

• Min 2 years within a similar environment

• Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Previous experience of accounting software, Tencia- Highly advantageous

• Must be personable and able to build, maintain and improve relations with both clients and suppliers

• Able to manage workload and perform to strict deadlines

• Proactive and able to use critical thinking
