ABOUT THE ROLE

At Vital Home Health Services, our Support Workers provide high-quality care and support to clients, helping them live independently, safely and with dignity in their own homes and communities.

We currently have a position available for experienced Care Workers to join our effective and highly dynamic team.

A current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the clients with personal care support, including showering, toileting, and feeding assistance.

• Providing transportation and support for medical appointments, shopping, and social outings.

• Providing domestic assistance duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation

• Building and maintaining strong, respectful and effective relationships with clients and their families

• Supporting clients to participate in their community and maintain their independence

• Reporting any concerns, incidents or changes in a client's health and wellbeing through the appropriate channels and protocols

A current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required for this position.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
All applicants must have:

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent

• Current Australian driver's licence

• Smart Phone with Email access 

• Current National Police Record Check

• Current Working with Children Check

• Previous experience in aged care, disability, community care or a similar support role is highly desirable

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A caring, respectful and client-focused approach

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
