About the role
The Surgical and Endoscopy Access (SEA) Unit comprises of Nursing staff and Booking Clerks who manage patients on the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) Elective Surgery Waiting List and Endoscopy Waiting List. The Unit facilitates the patient journey from General Practitioner (GP) referral and outpatient clinic attendance through to procedure and treatment. By Liaising with patients, their community care providers, specialist health services, their treating surgical teams and allied health within the RHH a tailored patient centric care plan is coordinated and communicated to promote timely, efficient, and safe care for Tasmanians.
The RoleThe Endoscopy Access ANUM role provides assistance to the Nurse Manager with planning and management of staff and resources on a day-to-day basis to ensure optimal patient care. The ANUM will act as a resource and mentor to staff providing advice, guidance and support in the care planning of patients booked on the elective endoscopy waitlist consistent relevant with guidelines and policies. A high level of clinical knowledge in regard to patient flow should be held to be able to provide support and advice to Endoscopy Access Nurses. The Endoscopy Access ANUM is expected to contribute to quality and safety activities within the unit and seek opportunities for change and progress including encouraging staff involvement in this.

Details of appointmentFixed term part time, day worker position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 28 May 2027.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary$109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
