About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and approachable HR Coordinator to join our team and support the day-to-day delivery of HR across the business.

This is a hands-on generalist HR role with plenty of variety. You’ll work across the employee lifecycle, supporting managers and employees with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, compliance, payroll support and broader people initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating recruitment activities, including advertising, candidate management and interview support

• Preparing employment contracts, letters and other HR documentation

• Coordinating onboarding, inductions, employee changes and offboarding

• Maintaining and administering our Employment Hero HR platform, ensuring employee records, documentation and information remain accurate and up to date

• Supporting managers and employees with general HR queries and people matters

• Assisting with performance management and employee relations processes

• Monitoring training, licences, qualifications and compliance requirements where applicable

• Assisting with HR policies, procedures and workplace compliance

• Providing backup payroll processing support when required, including assisting with employee changes, timesheets, leave and payroll-related information

• Supporting employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives

• Preparing HR reports and maintaining accurate people data

• Supporting HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives

• Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline HR systems, processes and administration

• Helping ensure HR practices are practical, consistent and aligned with the needs of the business

About You

• Previous experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Officer, People & Culture Coordinator or similar generalist HR role

• Experience using an HRIS; Employment Hero experience would be highly regarded

• Some payroll processing experience or the ability to provide payroll backup when required

• A good understanding of Australian employment practices and workplace legislation

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Confidence dealing with employees and managers across different levels of the business

• Excellent organisation and attention to detail

• The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally

• Strong Microsoft Office and general systems skills

• A willingness to get involved, take ownership and follow tasks through to completion
