Team Leader Parks Maintenance

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Team Leader Parks Maintenance to lead and support a team of operational staff in delivering the maintenance of Council parks and open spaces. You will play a key role in fostering a safe, productive, and customer-focused team while helping to maintain high-quality public spaces for the community. About the role This position is responsible for the following:

• Oversee the preparation and upkeep of parks to meet required standards.
• Coordinate daily team operations and work routines to optimise time and resource use.
• Develop work programs, including rosters and resource allocation, ensuring projects stay within budget, meet deadlines, and comply with relevant standards.
• Identify and report turf issues, recommending improvements as needed.
• Manage roadside vegetation to maintain visibility and safety.
• Ensure traffic control plans are in place and implemented for all worksites.
• Monitor project delivery to ensure alignment with designs and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Plan and enforce safety measures across all worksites
• Lead by example, promoting high standards, a strong work ethic, and proactive performance management
• Foster a positive, motivated team culture through strong collaboration and communication.
• Support continuous improvement by contributing to workplace reform, service efficiency, and operational goals.
