This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate family lawyer who wants to continue growing professionally within a collaborative, high-performing and values-driven firm. You’ll work alongside experienced and award-winning practitioners, manage a diverse and interesting caseload, mentor junior lawyers and play an important role in the continued growth and success of the practice.
This is a Sunshine Coast-based position.

About the Role
In this senior role, you will manage your own family law matters, including complex parenting and property matters.
You will have the opportunity to mentor and develop junior lawyers, contribute to the firm's ongoing growth and continuous improvement initiatives, and play an integral role in delivering exceptional client outcomes.
This role offers genuine autonomy, interesting and varied work, and the opportunity to continue developing your leadership and technical expertise.
About You
You will thrive in this role if you have:
A minimum of 5 years' post-admission experience in Family Law.
Strong technical knowledge of Australian family law and court processes.
Experience managing your own files from commencement through to resolution.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a client-centred approach.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
The ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work autonomously.
Strong mentoring and leadership skills, with a willingness to support the development of junior lawyers.
High emotional intelligence, with compassion, professionalism and sound judgement when working with clients experiencing significant life challenges.
A collaborative approach and a genuine desire to contribute to a positive team culture.
Essential
Current Australian practising certificate.
Admission as a legal practitioner in Australia.
Demonstrated experience practising predominantly in Family Law.
Highly Valued (but not essential)
Experience acting as an Independent Children's Lawyer (ICL), or an interest in developing in this area.
Mediation and dispute resolution experience.
Experience mentoring or supervising junior lawyers.
