Clinical Nurse Consultant – Development Paediatrics

This is a Fixed Term Part Time appointment at 30.40 hrs per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Western Australia Country Health Service (WACHS) is seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant – Developmental Paediatrics to provide expert clinical leadership, consultancy, and education across our health service. Based in WACHS Central Office, this influential role supports the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based developmental paediatric services and contributes to better health outcomes for children with developmental, behavioural and neurodevelopmental needs.

As a recognised expert in your field, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, healthcare providers, community partners, and key stakeholders across Western Australia. You will lead clinical excellence, support workforce capability through education and mentoring, and contribute to service development, quality improvement, and innovative models of care.

Form and define what will be assessed to determine your suitability for the role:

1. Postgraduate education and clinical capability supporting an expanded practice role in paediatrics and/or child, youth and family health.
2. Consultancy and clinical leadership experience applicable to developmental paediatrics and/or child development services.
3. Experience communicating with and leading teams and services across rural and remote districts.
4. Experience utilising data and research to inform quality improvement and innovative strategic initiatives.
5. Demonstrated commitment to the WACHS mission and values.
