Claims Support Officer

Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you'll play a key role in supporting claim lodgement, customer enquiries, claims administration and business support activities that enable efficient claim management and exceptional customer experiences. You'll be part of a highly engaged and supportive team that values collaboration, celebrates success and is committed to creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

This is a full-time, 5-month contract opportunity based in Sydney or Brisbane.

What you'll do

• Be the first point of contact for customers lodging Personal Injury claims, delivering a supportive and empathetic experience while accurately capturing information and ensuring compliance with business and regulatory requirements.

• Proactively connect with customers and key stakeholders to gather and clarify information, helping to ensure a smooth and efficient claims lodgement process.

• Investigate, collect, and validate claim information and supporting documentation to facilitate the timely registration and progression of claims.

• Provide essential administrative and operational support to our Claims teams, including preparing correspondence, coordinating independent medical examinations, managing documentation, and supporting a range of claim-related activities.

• Build strong relationships with customers, internal teams, business partners, and external service providers to help deliver positive outcomes and exceptional service experiences.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support broader operational priorities, collaborating across teams to ensure service excellence during periods of increased demand.

   

What you'll bring

• Previous experience in customer service, administration, contact centre, claims support or business operations environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and handle customer conversations with empathy and professionalism.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately process information and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong planning, organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and web-based administration systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues, identify solutions and make sound decisions.
• A proactive, adaptable and team-focused approach with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Experience within insurance, claims, financial services or contact centre environments will be highly regarded.
• Qualifications in administration, business, accounting or finance will be viewed favourably.
