We are seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join our Finance team at our Windsor office.
About the RoleThis is a hands-on senior payroll role responsible for coordinating and supporting the effective day-to-day delivery of Doolan's payroll function.
Working closely with Finance, HR, managers and site teams, you will take a lead role in ensuring payroll accuracy, timeliness and compliance, while strengthening payroll processes, controls and systems.
The role suits an experienced payroll professional who enjoys being involved in the detail while bringing the experience and capability to take greater responsibility within the payroll function.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and support accurate and timely weekly payroll.
Process and review payroll through MYOB Acumatica, including adjustments, deductions, allowances and entitlements.
Oversee ClockShark time records, timesheets and payroll-related job information.
Ensure compliance with applicable Enterprise Agreements, Awards and employment conditions.
Manage superannuation, Incolink, payroll tax, long service leave and other payroll obligations.
Complete payroll reconciliations, month-end/year-end processes and STP requirements.
Resolve payroll and entitlement queries with employees, managers, Finance and HR.
Monitor payroll controls, discrepancies and compliance requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems and reporting.
Maintain accurate and confidential payroll and employee records.
You will be an experienced payroll professional with strong technical capability and the confidence to take a lead role within a busy payroll environment.
Ideally, you will have:
Strong end-to-end payroll experience in a senior payroll capacity.
Experience coordinating or leading payroll activities within a complex payroll environment.
Construction, civil, infrastructure, trade services or similar industry experience highly regarded.
Strong understanding of Enterprise Agreements, Awards and payroll compliance.
Experience with MYOB or a comparable payroll system.
ClockShark or similar time and attendance system experience highly regarded.
Sound knowledge of superannuation, payroll tax, leave entitlements and long service leave.
Strong payroll reconciliation, systems and process improvement capability.
Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail.
Practical communication skills and the ability to work effectively across site and office environments.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline desirable, but not essential where supported by strong relevant payroll experience.
Full-time, permanent position.
