Chef - Full Time

The Kingston Hotel on behalf of Dawsal Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced chef to join our team.

The Kingston Hotel offers a vibrant and welcoming experience to our guests with a strong emphasis on providing a high-quality dining experience.

The Role:

We are seeking applicants who are professional and reliable with a passion for food and a positive team attitude. Reporting to the Head Chef, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking high quality Modern Australian dishes from our menu to consistently high standards

• Assisting the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen including coordinating kitchen operations and workflow and effectively communicating with front of house staff

• You must be able to work efficiently, operate well under pressure and be willing to assist with training of junior staff and apprentices

• Implementing and strictly adhering to workplace healthy, safety and hygiene regulations

What we are looking for:

• Excellent communication skills and good English is essential

• At least two years experience in high volume kitchen along with a Certificate III or higher qualification in Commercial Cookery

• Display exceptional culinary skills and a genuine desire to prepare and serve delicious food

• Demonstrate leadership, attention to detail, strong customer service, and high standard of personal cleanliness and presentation

• A thorough understanding and commitment to food safety and hygiene
