About Us:
Full Stop Australia is a not-for-profit organisation, operating nationally, but based in Sydney. Our mission is to put a full stop to sexual, domestic, and family violence and to support those who have been impacted by violence and abuse. We operate the NSW Sexual Violence Helpline and a range of specialist Redress and domestic violence counselling services. Full Stop Australia also offers best-practice training and professional services to support safe and respectful workplaces, and advocate for changes to laws, policies, and practices to better prevent and respond to sexual, domestic, and family violence.
About the Role:
The People and Culture Specialist is a full time permanent position, reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services and leads the People and Culture functions of the organisation.
This role provides specialist advice and support across workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, organisational culture, staff engagement, policy development and internal communications. The position is responsible for ensuring people’s practices are compliant, contemporary and aligned with organisational values, strategic priorities and legislative requirements.
About You:
You will be someone who operates with the highest levels of professionalism and ethical behaviour with a commitment to and understanding of the provision of services from an intersectional feminist perspective. You will bring strong interpersonal, relationship management and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with people at all levels.
Your knowledge, skills and experience will include:
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, Management or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in human resources, people and culture, workforce management or a related role.
• Sound knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations frameworks and contemporary HR practices.
• Experience supporting performance management, employee relations and workplace investigations.
• Experience developing and implementing people-related policies, procedures and systems.
• Strong interpersonal, relationship management and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with people at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive workplace culture and support employee engagement initiatives.
• Experience analysing workforce information and preparing reports to support decision-making.
• Advanced computer literacy including Microsoft 365

Salary: This position has been classified as Level 6 under the Social, Community, Home, and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award.
Contract: This is a permanent full time position. Full Stop Australia offers a hybrid model of working, with the option to work part of your hours from home (where applicable).
