We are a well-established civil construction company based in Morisset with a strong reputation for delivering quality commercial projects across the Hunter, Central Coast, and Greater Newcastle regions. We are looking for an experienced Civil Estimator to join our team.

About the Role

As our Civil Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a variety of commercial civil construction projects, including bulk earthworks, subdivisions, roads, stormwater, car parks, and associated infrastructure.

Working closely with managers, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, you’ll play a key role in securing new projects and supporting successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.

• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.

• Complete quantity take-offs and pricing.

• Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.

• Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.

• Assist with project handovers and contract negotiations.

• Maintain estimating databases and pricing schedules.

About You

• Previous experience as a Civil Estimator within the civil construction industry.

• Strong knowledge of commercial civil works including earthworks, roadworks, drainage, and infrastructure.

• Confidence interpreting engineering plans and specifications.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills.

• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office.

• A positive can-do attitude with sharp attention to detail

• The ability to work independently while being part of a great supportive team.

• Strong commercial awareness and confidence making informed pricing decisions.
