The Role

Responsibilities

As our Payroll Officer, you’ll support the end-to-end payroll process while providing exceptional service and advice to our team. You’ll be responsible for:

Setting up new employees across payroll and Time & Attendance systemsProcessing payroll accurately and in line with relevant legislationManaging employee changes, including new starters, terminations and salary updatesCalculating termination payments, increases and backpaysProviding accurate payroll advice and support to managers and employeesResponding to payroll enquiries and providing general administration supportMaintaining payroll systems, records and electronic filingPreparing payroll reports for Operations and relevant departmentsSupporting the Payroll Manager with month-end activities, including leave provisions, reconciliations, reporting and payroll journalsMaintaining and updating payroll procedures and processing manuals

About You – What You'll Bring

2–3+ years’ experience in payroll or a similar roleStrong, up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirementsIntermediate to advanced Excel skillsStrong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detailConfident using Microsoft Office and Windows-based systemsPrevious retail payroll experience is highly desirableExperience with Dayforce PayrollExperience with Time & Attendance systems, with UKG experience highly desirable
