1st Year Apprentice Locksmith

About the role

As a 1st Year Apprentice Locksmith, you will work alongside experienced locksmiths and learn all aspects of the trade. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, problem solving and learning new skills.

Key responsibilities

• Lock installation, servicing and repairs
• Rekeying and keying locks
• Key cutting
• Residential and commercial locksmithing
• Restricted key systems
• Door hardware installation
• Safes and security products
• Electronic locks and access control
• Customer service
• Workshop duties and maintaining tools, stock and work vehicles

About you

• Hard working and willing to learn
• Self-driven and motivated
• Well organised
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to follow instructions
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Practical and mechanically minded
• Able to problem solve and think logically
• Presentable and professional when dealing with customers
• Current driver's licence required (Learner Licence holders actively working towards P's will be considered)
