Handyman

About the role

Looking for a skilled and reliable Handyman to join the team at Portland Projects' in Sydney. This full-time position involves maintaining and enhancing the facilities and properties managed by our company. As an experienced Handyman, you will be responsible for completing a wide range of general maintenance tasks to ensure our properties are well-kept and safe for our clients.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting routine inspections and identifying maintenance needs across our properties

• Performing general handyman duties such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work

• Assisting with the installation and repair of fixtures, fittings, and equipment

• Responding promptly to service requests and completing work within agreed timelines

• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant regulations

• Maintaining detailed records of completed tasks and materials used

• Supporting the wider facilities management team as required

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Handyman or in a similar maintenance role

• Strong practical skills and the ability to work with a wide range of tools and equipment

• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

• Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• A valid driver's licence and your own reliable transportation
