Trade Assistant

Based in our workshop in Edinburgh, we are looking for a reliable and motivated Trade Assistant to support operations in our busy fabrication workshop. This role will suit an all-rounder with a strong work ethic, who is keen to work alongside our qualified trades. Understanding of welding procedures and structural fabrication is advantageous, as is previous experience in a fabrication workshop or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist trades and operators with general labouring assistance

• Operating hand and power tools

• Lifting and transporting items using forklift and/or other equipment

• Ensuring outgoing stock/job materials are sighted, outgoing goods procedures are followed while maintaining appropriate records

• Ensuring workshop or worksite is clean and maintained

Skills and Qualification Requirements:

• Drivers licence with reliable transport

• Current White Card

• Current forklift licence

• Physical fitness
