About the role

Carey Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team and support the successful delivery of a project located in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager looking to contribute to a significant resources project while working with a growing and dynamic organisation.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop detailed project plans including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project outcomes.

• Efficiently allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.

• Enforce stringent safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

• Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions and delays.

• Maintain transparent and consistent communication with project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management.

• Ensure project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and align with company and industry specifications.

• Monitor project expenses and implement cost-saving measures to uphold project profitability.

• Provide regular project status reports to senior management, offering insights into progress, challenges, and proposed solutions.

Experience:

• A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in open cut mining or civil mining.

• Understand, interpret, and implement the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 & Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.

• Experience in mining and/ civil mining technologies and leading multi-disciplinary teams.

• Experience in contract management gained in a mining/civil mining contractual environment.

 Skills/Qualifications:

• Quarry Manager Ticket (Essential).

• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

• FIFO Roster:  8 days on, followed by 6 days off.
