Assistant Head of College - Students
Marist College Ashgrove is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 5-12, situated in Brisbane's inner Northern suburbs. Inspired by the work of St Marcellin Champagnat, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent academic and career pathway results for our inclusive community of students.
Marist College Ashgrove is seeking an outstanding educational leader to join the College Leadership Team as Assistant Head of College – Students, commencing in 2027.
The Assistant Head of College – Students plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of wellbeing, belonging, and personal growth for all students. The role provides strategic leadership across years 5–12, with responsibility for developing and implementing both proactive and responsive programs, initiatives, and procedures that support the holistic care and development of every student.
As a key member of the College Leadership Team, the successful applicant will champion the wellbeing and holistic development of every student, fostering a strong sense of connection, purpose, and belonging while supporting young people to thrive in all aspects of College life.
The ideal applicant will have the following:

The criteria below will be used by the selection panel to evaluate applicants.
The applicant will respond to the following in no more than 300 words per paragraph:
Religious Leadership
Demonstrated ability to foster and grow the religious life of the school, effectively promote a healthy liturgical and prayer life, and provide leadership through personal example.
Educative Leadership
Demonstrated ability in the development, implementation and monitoring of high-quality pastoral care and learning and teaching programs.
Staff and Community Leadership
Demonstrated ability in the support and development of staff through regular monitoring, performance reviews and professional learning.
Organisational Leadership
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain processes to monitor and manage personnel, physical and financial resources to effectively deliver the priorities of the school.
Strategic Leadership
Demonstrated ability to collaboratively assist with the creation of pastoral care and student well-being plans and the transparent allocation of resources to enact these.
