Clinical Nurse (Clinical Facilitator - Mental Health)

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Clinical Facilitator - Mental Health) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Provide clinical leadership, mentorship and support the Multidisciplinary Team
• Support the Mental Health Nurse Educators in promoting a culture committed to continual evidence based practice
• Support the Nurse Education Team within MHSS in providing education based programs in yearly mandatory training compliance
• Support the professional development of the various career pathway programs

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
• Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
• A postgraduate qualification within Mental Health Nursing is highly desirable
• Membership of, or affiliation with the Australian College of Mental Health Nursing and the Australian Nurse Teachers Society will be well regarded
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Permanent full time
• Base salary ranging from $114,532 - $122,643 per annum

About Us

The Mental Health Nurse Education Leadership Group is a centralised team led by an Assistant Director of Nursing, Education, along with a number of Nurse Educators and Clinical Facilitators. The Clinical Facilitators work to develop, promote and maintain excellence in all areas of nursing across the directorate.

Each Clinical Facilitator position is aligned to specific service lines within MHSS. This Clinical Nurse (Clinical Facilitator) position is aligned to the MHSS Acute Community Mental Health Service Line.
