Operations Co-ordinator

About the role

As Operations Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for helping coordinate the daily operations of the supermarket, ensuring priorities are managed effectively and team members are supported to perform at their best. This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who enjoys being actively involved in the day-to-day operation of a supermarket, while also providing direction, support and leadership to the team. Working closely with the Stock Controller and Systems Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring the supermarket consistently operates at a high standard of presentation, productivity, customer service and overall performance.

Key responsibilities

• Be actively involved in daily supermarket operations and hands-on duties.

• Provide clear direction and guidance to team members.

• Delegate and prioritise tasks to ensure daily requirements are achieved.

• Monitor team productivity and follow up on outstanding tasks.

• Communicate confidently and professionally with staff.

• Address areas of concern with staff and provide guidance to help resolve issues.

• Recognise individual strengths and provide positive feedback and encouragement.

• Assist with maintaining excellent stock presentation, displays and product quality.

• Help ensure store standards are consistently maintained.

• Work closely with the Stock Controller and Systems Manager to support efficient store operations.

• Previous experience in a retail or supermarket environment is highly desirable. Experience in a supervisory, team leader, department manager or similar operational role will be highly regarded.
