The Opportunity 

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor to provide strategic leadership across complex environmental initiatives nationwide. This role will lead the delivery of high-impact projects, oversee regulatory strategy and approvals pathways, and act as a trusted advisor to clients on environmental risk, compliance, and sustainability outcomes.

A key position within a growing business, you will play a pivotal role in shaping organisational strategy and developing capability across the team, and influencing the direction and culture of the business while driving long-term value for our clients.

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead the development and implementation of environmental and regulatory strategies with clients. 

• Provide expert advice on environmental legislation, approvals, and compliance. 

• Oversee Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), audits, and risk analyses. 

• Manage multidisciplinary project teams and mentor junior advisors. 

• Engage with stakeholders including government bodies, clients, stakeholders, indigenous communities, and industry partners. 

• Represent Green Values Australia in public forums, conferences, and regulatory consultations. 

• Monitor emerging environmental trends and integrate best practices into project delivery. 

• Prepare high-quality reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and internal leadership. 

Qualifications & Experience 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related field. 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental advisory, on-site mining or consultancy roles. 

• Consultancy-focused environmental advisory experience is required for this position. 

• Proven track record in leading complex environmental projects and teams. 

• In-depth knowledge of Australian environmental legislation and planning systems. 

• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills. 

• Experience working with Indigenous communities and understanding of cultural heritage considerations is highly desirable. 

• Membership with relevant professional bodies (e.g., EIANZ) preferred. 

• Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application.
