About Triple Zero Victoria

Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role

The Procurement Specialist supports Triple Zero Victoria to achieve effective, compliant and value-for-money procurement outcomes. Reporting to the Procurement Lead, you will deliver end-to-end procurement activities across a diverse range of goods and services, from planning and market engagement through to evaluation, negotiation, contract execution and contract management support.

This role will take responsibility for progressing allocated procurement activities and providing practical procurement and commercial advice to stakeholders. You will use your initiative to manage priorities, resolve issues and identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, tools and practices.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Deliver complex and routine procurement activities, including planning, sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contract execution.
• Take responsibility for progressing allocated procurement projects within agreed timeframes, budgets, policies and approval requirements.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide practical procurement and commercial advice.
• Prepare procurement documentation, reports, briefs, spend analysis and forward procurement pipeline plans.
• Support contract managers to monitor supplier performance, identify contractual risks and address emerging commercial issues.
• Maintain accurate procurement systems and records while contributing to improvements in templates, tools and processes.

About You

You are a highly organised and proactive procurement professional who can take responsibility for your work and progress activities with limited day-to-day supervision. You bring a strong work ethic, sound judgement and a collaborative approach, recognising when to act independently and when guidance or escalation is required.

The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

• Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end procurement activities, including planning, sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, contracting and supplier management.
• Well-developed organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to proactively manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work within agreed timeframes.
• Demonstrated initiative, accountability and a strong work ethic, with the ability to progress work independently and seek guidance or escalate issues when appropriate.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Sound commercial, analytical and negotiation skills, including the ability to use relevant data and market information to support procurement decisions.
• Relevant tertiary or industry qualifications and demonstrated knowledge of procurement practices, financial systems and Victorian Government procurement requirements.
