Fish House Steak & Grill is seeking an experienced and passionate Section Waiter to join our professional front-of-house team.

Located on the Mooloolaba Spit, Fish House is a Chef Hat restaurant specialising in premium seafood, dry-aged steak and Japanese-influenced cuisine.

Our beverage program features more than 350 wines by the bottle and 40 wines by the glass, with a strong focus on Australian, New Zealand and French wines.

About the Role

You will manage your own section and take responsibility for delivering a polished and memorable dining experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Confidently managing a busy restaurant section

• Providing knowledgeable and attentive table service

• Explaining menu items and making considered recommendations

• Using strong selling techniques to enhance the guest experience

• Recommending wine and other beverages

• Maintaining exceptional service standards throughout each sitting

• Working closely with the kitchen, bar and management teams

About You

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience managing your own section in a premium or fine-dining restaurant

• Strong food, wine and beverage knowledge

• Excellent selling and guest-engagement skills

• Confidence carrying multiple plates and using professional service techniques

• A warm, polished and outgoing personality

• Strong attention to detail and personal presentation

• The ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment

• A current Queensland RSA

• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

Experience in a Chef Hat or Michelin-starred restaurant will be highly regarded.
