Employment Status Permanent, full time
Days & Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, totalling 38 hours per week
Competitive Salary: Band 6 - $101,833.74 - $111,108.57 p.a (depending on experience) + 12% superannuation
Location: Corporate Centre in Sandringham, with the flexibility to work from home

About the Role:

Provide support in the effective management of Council’s property portfolio, including the leasing and licensing of property to maximise community and organisational outcomes. Support the Acquisition and Disposal Business Partner in the delivery of property transactions in accordance with Council policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

Ensure occupancy arrangements are effectively managed through appropriate systems, processes and stakeholder relationships. Undertake and implement property-related projects and initiatives as directed by the Acquisition and Disposal Business Partner and Property Coordinator.

You will be responsible for:

• Addressing property related matters in accordance with policy and guidelines and where required escalate issues to the Property Coordinator.
• Providing support to the Property Coordinator for the development of forward plans for property activities, including input on policy recommendations, management, leases, conditions of occupancy and design.
• Providing support to the Acquisition and Disposal Business Partner with discontinuance, sale, vesting or acquisition processes in accordance with policy and guidelines.
• Manage tenant responsibilities across Council leased and licensed property portfolio by monitoring maintenance obligations, undertaking with internal stakeholders property inspections and audits, and responding to property management enquiries.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

• Experience in property management roles, including property/lease management and acquisition and disposal related disciplines.
• To solve problems independently using initiative, experience, legislation and investigative techniques to resolve often complex issues.
• Interpret and understand property documents e.g. titles, deeds and leases.
• To exercise professional judgement and adaptability in evaluating and deciding on appropriate methods, procedures and practices for achieving department objectives using known methods and procedures in relation to Lease and Property related matters.

Mandatory pre-employment requirements:

• Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
• Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check. 
• Tertiary qualifications in a property or legal related field and/or experience in property/lease management related discipline.
• Current Victorian drivers licence.
