Stock Controller Trailer Manufacturer

About the role

This is a varied role responsible for coordinating stock, customer vehicles, equipment and manufacturing movements, together with general operational administration.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and record incoming and outgoing trucks, trailers and equipment.
• Track customer vehicles and equipment throughout the manufacturing process.
• Coordinate movements to and from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate records of what is on site, off site and in progress.
• Monitor stock and manufacturing component movements.
• Assist with stocktakes and investigate stock discrepancies.
• Follow up outstanding supplier items that may impact production.
• Process delivery dockets, movement records and operational paperwork.
• Maintain internal systems, spreadsheets and records.
• Liaise with Production, Stores, Purchasing, Sales, customers and suppliers.

About you

• Previous experience in stock control, logistics, manufacturing, transport, stores or a similar role.
• Manufacturing, engineering, automotive or heavy vehicle industry experience highly regarded.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with inventory, ERP or manufacturing systems is advantageous.
• Confidence dealing with suppliers, customers and internal teams.
• A proactive approach and willingness to follow things through from start to finish.
