The Department
The Social Work Department operates in accordance with the philosophy and goals of Bayside Health – Alfred Care Group. A focus on quality of life and participation in care is a primary goal of the Department. Social Work aims to identify and address the psychosocial impacts of illness and hospitalisation for patients and their families by providing a range of services which increase quality of life and participation.
The Role
The Social Work Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for clinical staff, patients, families, and carers accessing the services of The Alfred Care Group Social Work Department. In addition to undertaking a broad range of reception, administrative, and clerical responsibilities, the successful applicant will provide support to social work staff and leadership across several key portfolios. This includes coordinating the Cancer Accommodation Program, maintaining relationships with local accommodation providers, and delivering administrative support for a range of programs managed by the Social Work Department.
