CNC Machinist

We're seeking a reliable, safety‑conscious CNC Machinist to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to work on a variety of conventional and machine centre equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision components in accordance with tight tolerances (G-Code and Conversational)

• Precision manufacturing to tolerances of ±0.01mm is required for all components

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications with accuracy and confidence

• Select appropriate tooling, establish offsets, prove out new jobs, and support efficient production runs

• Conduct in-process inspections and final quality checks to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications

• Diagnose and resolve machining issues, including tool wear, chatter, offset discrepancies, surface finish concerns, and dimensional inaccuracies

• Maintain CNC equipment, tooling, and a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve cycle times, product quality, and process repeatability

• Accurately complete job documentation, inspection reports, and production records

• Complete work orders and accurately log time against tasks

• Troubleshoot machining and setup issues; apply strong problem solving and mechanical aptitude

• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area and follow all safety procedures

• Be available for overtime as required

Mandatory Qualifications & Requirements

• Trade Certificate: First Class Machining (required)

• 5+ years' experience as a CNC Machinist (Both turning and milling favourable)

• Strong CNC setup and operating capability; programming experience highly regarded

• Experience with Fanuc and Siemens CNC control systems is highly preferred

• Ability to read and manufacture to engineering drawings (Metric & Imperial)

• Full working rights in Australia

• Current driver's licence

• Reliable, safety focused and committed to high quality workmanship

Experience & Licences
