As the AI Engineer Lead, you will own the end-to-end AI/ML architecture, solution delivery, and governance across core operational and corporate functions. Operating primarily within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem alongside Anthropic Claude, you will balance strategic platform engineering with hands-on development. Your core mission is to design scalable, secure, and compliant AI solutions while operationalising RAG models, agentic workflows, and robust MLOps practices across enterprise applications.

• Strategic Influence: Own and shape the enterprise AI roadmap, architecture standards, and tooling decisions.

• Modern Tech Stack: Work directly with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, Claude API, and integrated enterprise platforms.

• Career Leadership: Build, mentor, and scale the internal AI engineering practice while driving organisation-wide adoption.

• Design, build, and deploy production-ready AI/ML solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Anthropic Claude.

• Define MLOps and LLMOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated evaluations, prompt versioning, and drift monitoring.

• Establish responsible AI frameworks, ensuring alignment with Australian Privacy Principles, data residency rules, and model risk management.

• Partner with business units to identify, scope, and deliver high-impact AI use cases for enterprise applications.

• Build technical patterns for RAG architectures and agentic workflows integrated into core systems like D365, Salesforce, and Workday.

• Demonstrated experience leading an AI/ML engineering practice or platform in a complex environment.

• Deep hands-on proficiency with the Microsoft Azure AI stack (Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Machine Learning).

• Practical experience building and evaluating LLM-based solutions, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and Anthropic Claude API/models.

• Strong programming foundations in Python, alongside experience in MLOps, model evaluation, and governance guardrails.

• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with an outcomes-focused, pragmatic approach to AI delivery.
