The Livestock Hand plays a crucial role in the agricultural sector, specifically within the livestock management team. Responsibilities:

• Assist in the daily feeding and watering of livestock to ensure their health and well-being.
• Monitor the condition of animals and report any health issues to the farm manager.
• Help with the maintenance of livestock facilities, including cleaning and sanitising pens and equipment.
• Participate in the handling and movement of livestock as required.
• Support breeding and calving activities under the guidance of experienced staff.
• Maintain accurate records of livestock health, feeding schedules, and other relevant data.
• Assist in the implementation of biosecurity measures to protect livestock from disease.

Qualifications:

• No formal education required; however, a background in agriculture or animal husbandry is advantageous.
• Entry-level position; previous experience with livestock is preferred but not essential.
