Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator Permanent PT

About the role

Menarock LIFE is seeking a Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator to join our Greenway Gardens team in Heathmont, Victoria. This is a permanent part-time position that plays a vital role in enriching the lives of our residents through engaging activities, wellness programmes and lifestyle initiatives. You will be responsible for developing, coordinating and delivering a diverse range of activities and events that promote physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing within our aged care community. This position is essential to creating a vibrant, supportive environment where our residents can thrive and maintain their quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, plan and coordinate a varied programme of recreational, cultural, social and educational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities

• Facilitate one-to-one and group activities including craft sessions, games, outings, entertainment, exercise classes and reminiscence programmes

• Assess residents' preferences, abilities and wellbeing needs to ensure activities are inclusive and person-centred

• Liaise with residents, families, carers and staff to gather ideas and feedback for activity programming

• Maintain detailed activity records and documentation of resident participation and engagement

• Coordinate special events, celebrations, seasonal activities and community outings

• Promote and encourage resident independence, dignity and social inclusion through lifestyle activities

• Work collaboratively with the care team to integrate wellbeing initiatives into daily operations

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make adjustments based on resident feedback and outcomes

• Maintain a safe, clean and accessible activity environment and manage resources appropriately

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualification in leisure and lifestyle coordination, activities coordination, or equivalent experience in aged care or community services

• Proven experience delivering activities and programmes within an aged care, residential care or similar community setting

• Strong understanding of the aged care environment and the importance of person-centred care and resident wellbeing

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with residents, families and staff

• Demonstrated creativity and ability to develop engaging, inclusive activities suited to varying levels of ability and mobility

• Physical capability to assist with and facilitate activities, including some manual handling as required

• Ability to work independently whilst being part of a collaborative team

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with attention to detail

• Current First Aid Certificate

• Valid driver's license (for coordinating outings and community visits)
