• Planning and contributing to seasonal menus in consultation with management.
• Estimating food and labour costs and assisting with stock control and ordering.
• Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality pub and bistro-style meals across lunch and dinner service.
• Ensuring consistency in flavour, portion control and presentation.
• Monitoring kitchen operations during service to maintain efficiency and standards.
• Supervising, training and mentoring apprentices and junior kitchen staff.
• Maintaining compliance with food safety regulations and workplace health and safety standards.
• Managing food storage, stock rotation and minimising waste.
• Assisting with menu development, daily specials and function catering where required.

About You To be considered for this position, you must demonstrate:

• A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Proven ability to lead and support junior staff.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
• A commitment to quality food, consistency and professional kitchen standards.
• Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements.
• Availability to work a rotating roster including evenings and weekends.
• Full Australian working rights.

This is a full-time position offering 38 hours per week with an annual salary from $79,500 - $82,500 per year, depending on experience.
