Camargue is a leading independent fashion boutique with a strong reputation for curated designer collections, exceptional personal service and a distinctive point of view.

We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Store Manager to lead our Fortitude Valley boutique and play an integral role in the continued success of the business.

This is an opportunity for a passionate retail leader who understands that exceptional fashion retail is about more than selling product — it is about creating meaningful experiences, building genuine client relationships and leading a team that takes pride in what they do.

As Store Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day performance of the boutique, leading a talented team to deliver strong commercial results while upholding Camargue’s high standards of service and presentation.

Working closely with the highly experienced Retail Director, you will bring the vision and direction of the business to life on the shop floor.
You will be a visible, hands-on leader who thrives on motivating a team, building client relationships, driving sales and creating a boutique environment that reflects the Camargue brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the boutique team to achieve exceptional results.
• Create a positive, professional and energetic team culture.
• Lead by example through your presence, attitude, communication and work ethic.
• Set clear expectations and provide ongoing coaching, feedback and recognition.
• Address performance, behavioural and customer service matters promptly and professionally.
• Conduct daily morning meetings and a 2pm performance check-in to keep the team focused on daily targets.

• Take ownership of store sales performance and achieve monthly budgets.
• Create a strong sales culture focused on results, styling and client relationships.
• Lead the team in upselling and cross-selling through considered styling and product recommendations.
• Monitor sales performance, sell-through and key store results.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and implement action plans with the Creative Director.
• Actively contribute to new client acquisition and ongoing client development.

• Lead by example in delivering highly personalised and memorable customer service.
• Ensure every client is welcomed professionally and promptly.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Encourage the team to build their own client portfolios and maintain accurate client contact books.
• Ensure clients are contacted when new collections launch.
• Coach the team to confidently communicate product, brands and styling recommendations.
• Manage returns with a positive, service-led approach, working towards an exchange wherever appropriate.
• Ensure the team consistently embodies the #CamargueCool experience.

• Maintain exceptional visual merchandising and boutique presentation standards.
• Ensure the store is immaculately presented, clean and fully stocked throughout the day.
• Ensure all team members meet Camargue’s presentation and staff wardrobe standards.
• Work with the Creative Director to ensure staff presentation appropriately reflects the Camargue aesthetic.
• Provide immediate and constructive feedback where standards are not met.

• Manage the day-to-day operational requirements of the boutique.
• Prepare rosters at least three weeks in advance.
• Monitor store expenses and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Monitor expenses including alterations, dry cleaning and other boutique costs.
• Maintain accurate store budget information.
• Ensure cash-handling and banking procedures are consistently followed.
• Ensure all required reports and administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Ensure equipment and store facilities are maintained and any issues are promptly reported.
• Review and approve staff timesheets.
• Ensure all store policies, procedures and compliance requirements are consistently followed.

You understand how to create a premium customer experience while maintaining a strong focus on sales and commercial performance. You naturally lead from the front and enjoy being actively involved on the shop floor.

• Proven experience in a Store Manager or senior retail leadership role.
