About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and confident communications professional who can lead, high profile initiatives and build strong relationships across the organisation and with external partners.

In this impactful role you will lead the CFA's statewide fire safety campaigns, including the annual summer fire safety campaign and Get Fire Ready initiative, driving community understanding and behavioural change. You will lead the design and delivery, provide specialist advice, build strong internal and external partnerships, manage funding obligations and reporting, and develop the CFA Campaigns Strategy, policies and standards.

The successful candidate will bring experience delivering large-scale, evidence-based campaigns, strong stakeholder management, complex problem-solving and compelling communication skills.

About you

You are a strategic and collaborative communicator who can lead high profile campaigns, influence a diverse group of stakeholders and turn insights into meaningful community outcomes.

Ideally you will bring:

• Industry experience in marketing, communications, community-focused campaigns and events.
• Significant knowledge, expertise and experience designing and executing large scale campaigns and comprehensive, evidence-based campaign evaluations.
• Experience in complex project management (including budgets).
• High level understanding and experience in issues and risk management with strong skills in negotiating and influencing.
• Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and feedback to generate actionable insight that inform future campaigns and initiatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience creating engaging campaign, event and marketing content, ideally in a community focussed environment.
• Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels to achieve quality outcomes.
• Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, meet deadlines and adapt plans to deliver successful outcomes.
• Experience solving complex problems and applying innovative thinking in a faced past environment.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.
