Senior Associate – Commercial

About the role 

We are seeking an experienced lawyer to join our market leading Commercial Law team in Adelaide. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex commercial matters, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the ongoing development of our people and practice. 

In this role, you will: 

• Take primary responsibility for managing a diverse portfolio of commercial matters from inception through to completion
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor 
• Lead matters with a high degree of autonomy, collaborating with Partners on complex and strategic issues
• Play an active role in mentoring and supervising junior lawyers
• Contribute to the growth of the practice through client development and networking activities 
• Work on a broad range of matters including:  
• Business acquisitions and disposals 
• Commercial contracts and advisory 
• Business structuring and asset protection
• Joint ventures, partnerships, and shareholder arrangements 

About you 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

• a minimum of five years’ post‑admission experience, with demonstrable experience in advising clients in a broad range of commercial matters; 
• strong technical and commercial skills;
• demonstrated experience with managing matters and client relationships;
• the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines;
• a proactive, solutions‑focused approach;
• a strong team ethic and willingness to contribute; and  
• a genuine commitment to delivering high‑quality, practical outcomes for clients.
