The Opportunity

Become part of a collaborative and supportive team as an Administration Officer within our Infrastructure Services Branch. In this varied role, you will provide administrative, financial and customer service support to help keep branch operations running efficiently. Working closely with the management team, you will manage records, process transactions, support information systems and respond to stakeholder enquiries.

• Position Remuneration - LGOA Level 3
• $84,823 - Base annual salary
• $96,281 - Total Remuneration Package which is based on a full-time employee and inclusive of 12% Employer superannuation and 17.5% annual leave loading.

About You

You are an organised and customer-focused administration professional with experience providing high-level administrative support in a busy environment. You have strong communication and organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering quality outcomes. A proactive team player, you are confident using a range of computer systems and enjoy building positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-level administrative support, including records management, correspondence, data entry, and information system maintenance
• Coordinate purchasing, financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting in accordance with Council procedures
• Deliver professional customer service and act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholder enquiries
• Support branch operations and projects through effective organisation, communication, and administrative coordination

Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative support in a customer-focused environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience processing financial transactions, purchasing activities, and administrative reporting
• Well-developed computer skills and the ability to confidently learn and use new systems and processes.
• A positive and flexible attitude, with a commitment to delivering quality service and supporting team outcomes

Qualifications

Essential:

• Certificate III in Business Administration, Local Government or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience
• Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence

Desirable:

• Experience working within a Local Government environment
• Experience supporting disaster management preparedness, response, or recovery activities
