Are you a motivated individual with a passion for building strong relationships and delivering tailored insurance solutions? AFA Insurance Brokers are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Account Broker to join our Darwin team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

This role is located in Darwin office, it involves but is not limited to:

• Providing high level support to Head of Portfolio

• Mange and service your own portfolio of clients

• Attending Client meetings with Head of Portfolio

• Preparing Client submissions

• Managing the workflow within a dynamic team

• Providing guidance to the Processing Assistants for managing new business, renewals, endorsements and cancellations

• Servicing client enquiries

• Placing risks with insurers 

• All general administrative duties

About You

• Driven to grow the portfolio;

• Develop and build relationships with clients and underwriters;

• Experience servicing business clients;

• Sound computer skills, confident communication skills, teamwork and strong documentation skills;

• The ability to work unsupervised within a team environment;

• Career focused, responsible, self motivated and enthusiastic;

• Minimum Tier 2 (Insurance Broking) qualification; 

• Experienced using Microsoft Office.

• Experience using SCTP and Insight would be advantageous.
