About the role
About the role:
The City of Swan is looking for a permanent full-time Parks Project Officer to oversee the delivery of high-priority projects that shape the look, feel and function of our parks, reserves and public spaces.
In this role, you'll take the lead on projects allocated by the Service Lead - Parks Maintenance, with a strong focus on turf maintenance programs for category one parks assets, high-profile precincts and active sports ovals. While this position doesn't have direct reports, you'll regularly supervise and direct the work of parks teams and contractors, ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard from start to finish - including managing quality handovers with both internal and external stakeholders.
You'll also play a key role in growing our team's capability, mentoring new and existing staff to build their skills and knowledge in horticulture and operational best practice. Beyond the tools and the turf, you'll bring strong communication skills to every interaction - working collaboratively with colleagues, contractors and the community to genuinely improve quality of life across the City of Swan.

The salary for this position will be from $87,442.94 to $103,792.55 per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
