About the Opportunity
This role will manage, implement, monitor and co-ordinate clinical advisory groups, as well as design, implement and evaluate projects focusing on improving cancer system performance; ensuring these projects meet identified needs and realise maximum benefits for the health system. The role is required to work collaboratively with the Quality and System Performance team and across the organisation to lead, facilitate, design and implement quality improvement and performance reviews across cancer control services.

As part of the Clinical Engagement Program and the Reporting for Better Cancer Outcomes Program, the team works across the organisation and with key external stakeholders including NSW Pillars, Ministry of Health, local health districts and primary health networks to drive the delivery of system improvement program strategies and reduce unwarranted clinical variation.

Essential Requirements

• Knowledge of relevant trends, issues, policies and practices across a diverse portfolio of projects and an understanding of quality improvement methodologies.
• Capacity to critically appraise research and interpret clinical and population health data and information.
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating effective project management through engagement with clinicians and senior-level stakeholders.
• Relevant tertiary qualification and relevant understanding and experience working within the NSW Health system or other health systems.

Pre-Screening Questions

1. Please describe a clinical quality improvement project you have developed and managed. Detail the process including methodology, outcomes, challenges and the effectiveness of strategies used to address challenges encountered.
2. Please detail how you have worked with health data and evidence based research to contribute to quality or performance improvement or clinician engagement. Outline any limitations you faced and the outcomes achieved.
