About the Opportunity

As a Registered Nurse/Midwife for the CFH team you will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team where your knowledge, judgement and compassion help create better health outcomes for Aboriginal children and stronger, more confident families.

This position plays a key role in supporting the health, development and wellbeing of children aged 0–5 years and their families through family-centred care. In this role you will:

• Support the health, growth and development of children aged 0–5 years.
• Provide family-centred care, education and health advice to parents and carers.
• Identify concerns early and connect families with appropriate support services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive health outcomes.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Is an Aboriginal person or a strong ally who is passionate about improving health and wellbeing of Aboriginal children
• Has a current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife (Division 1).
• Has experience supporting children aged 0–5 years and their families.
• Has strong communication, interpersonal and family-centred care skills.
• Is commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and collaborative teamwork.

• Has Child and Family Health postgraduate qualifications, or a commitment to complete them within two years.
