What your day could look like

As a Cook, you'll help create a positive experience for patients and residents through safe, nutritious and appealing meals. From preparing menus that meet individual dietary needs to supporting a high-performing food service environment, you'll work with a collaborative team to deliver outcomes that contribute to wellbeing every day.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

• Preparing high-quality meals that support health, wellbeing and individual dietary requirements.
• Coordinating food preparation, stock control and ordering processes to keep services running smoothly and efficiently.
• Supporting safe food handling practices and quality standards that build trust and confidence in the service.
• Sharing your knowledge with team members and contributing ideas that improve food services and customer experience.

You're someone who takes pride in creating meals that make a difference. You combine technical cooking skills with compassion, integrity and attention to detail, understanding that every meal is an important part of a person's day. You'll enjoy working in a team, building positive relationships and helping deliver a food service that people can rely on. The impact you create is felt through comfort, care and consistency, making every meal count for those you support.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, or willingness to obtain it within the required timeframe.
• Strong cooking skills with experience following recipes, dietary requirements and food safety standards.
• Ability to manage stock, monitor quality and support efficient kitchen operations.
• Clear communication skills, sound computer literacy and a collaborative approach to teamwork.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in healthcare, aged care or other high-volume catering environments and/or additional food safety or hospitality training.

Above all, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage to the way you work and support others.

Through quality meals, safe practices and genuine care, you'll help create positive daily experiences for the people who rely on our services.
