About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of integrated village services across three major mine sites in Western Australia's Pilbara region.

Leading a team of three Village Managers and more than 100 employees, you will be responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality catering, cleaning, retail, tavern, and accommodation services across a resident population of approximately 850 people, increasing significantly during shutdown periods.

This role combines operational excellence with strategic leadership. You will work closely with the client to drive continuous improvement, identify innovative service solutions, enhance resident satisfaction, and ensure consistent service standards across all sites.

As the senior operational leader for the contract, you will oversee service delivery performance, financial outcomes, workforce capability, client relationships, compliance, and contract growth opportunities while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of catering, cleaning, retail, tavern, and accommodation services across multiple Pilbara sites.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to three direct-report Village Managers and their onsite teams.
• Ensure consistent service standards, policies, and operational practices across all contract locations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and contract performance.
• Drive innovation initiatives that enhance resident experience, service quality, and operational efficiency.
• Manage contract performance against KPIs, budgets, service level agreements, and commercial targets.
• Lead workforce planning activities to ensure appropriate resourcing across fluctuating operational requirements and shutdown periods.
• Monitor and improve safety performance, compliance, risk management, and audit outcomes.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement best-practice operational processes.
• Oversee contractor and supplier performance to ensure quality, value, and compliance outcomes.
• Analyse operational data and reporting to support informed decision-making and business improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal and client stakeholders to support contract growth, retention, and strategic objectives.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring proven experience managing complex operational portfolios within facilities management, village services, hospitality, accommodation, mining, or resources environments. This opportunity may suit something with a background and experience as a Operations Manager, Project Manager, Contract Manager, Village Manager or Site Manager, with responsibility for leading teams, managing client relationships, driving commercial outcomes, and delivering high-quality services across one or more locations.

Additionally, you will have:

• Proven experience managing integrated facilities management, village operations, hospitality, accommodation, catering, cleaning, retail, or remote site services.
• Demonstrated success leading large multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations.
• Strong client relationship management skills with experience delivering against contractual obligations, KPIs, and service levels.
• Experience driving continuous improvement, innovation, and customer experience initiatives.
• Strong commercial and financial management capability, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to analyse operational performance and translate insights into practical improvements.
• Current unrestricted manual driver's licence.
• Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor qualification (highly regarded but not essential).
• Previous experience within mining, resources, remote village, hospitality, or facilities management environments will be highly regarded.
