About the role

We are offering a permanent part time role in the 4families team at our Mandurah office. In this role, you’ll work alongside children and young people (0-18) and their families to provide compassionate strengths-based support. The position focuses on promoting well-being and offering early assistance to those who may be experiencing, or at risk of mental health challenges. This may be in a case management role, individual support to the parent(s) or counselling of the child.

The current vacancy is 3 days per week on a Wednesday and Thursday and Friday.

Skills, experience, and qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences and/or Counselling

• Significant practical experience in working with children and families

• Demonstrated case management and care coordination experience

• Knowledge and skills in working with people in crisis and in managing people with         challenging behaviours.

• Knowledge and understanding of prevention and mental health issues

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of domestic violence and/or child maltreatment and protection issues
